LMS Student Perform Well on National Spanish Exam

Twelve Liverpool Middle students recently received recognition for their excellent performances on the 2018 National Spanish Exam.
For the first time in the LMS history, eighth-grader Connor McKeon attained a gold medal after scoring better than 99 percent of the students participating in the contest. In addition, eighth-grader Ryleigh Dillabough earned a silver medal, while eighth-graders Carly Tarr and Jada Daniels scored bronze medals.
Receiving honors for their performances were eighth-graders Ny’azia Brice, Andrew Contos, Kathryn DiMillo, Evan Meyer, Cole Potrzeba, Shobhit Sharma, Kyleigh Sweeney, and Tahisha Borgard.
All 12 students will be freshmen at the Liverpool High School Annex in September.
The exam is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, and more than 33,000 students from across the country took this year’s exam. LMS students were selected for participation by Spanish teachers Barbara Patterson and Joyce Spado.
